Mahindra & Mahindra has ended the year 2025 on a strong note, underlining its growing influence in India’s automotive market as it announced that it sold a total of 86,090 vehicles in December 2025, including exports, marking 25 percent year-on-year growth.
One of the biggest highlights of Mahindra’s performance in December 2025 was its SUV sales, as the company sold 50,946 SUVs in the domestic market, registering 23 percent growth compared to the same month last year. SUVs, or Sport Utility Vehicles, are popular for their high driving position, road presence, and ability to handle both city roads and highways comfortably. Mahindra has built a strong reputation in this segment with well-known models like the Scorpio, XUV700, Thar, and Bolero,
which continue to attract buyers across urban and rural India.

Over the full calendar year, Mahindra also achieved its highest-ever volumes in SUVs, reinforcing its leadership position in one of India’s most competitive vehicle categories. For new buyers, this shows how trusted and widely accepted Mahindra SUVs have become.
Mahindra also performed strongly in the commercial vehicle (CV) segment, which includes small trucks, pickups, and three-wheelers often used for goods delivery and business purposes.
Domestic sales of commercial vehicles in December 2025 stood at 24,786 units, reflecting a strong 34 percent growth. Within this segment, light commercial vehicles (LCVs) between 2 and 3.5 tonnes showed impressive momentum, growing by 37 percent compared to last year. This growth indicates rising demand from small businesses, logistics operators, and last-mile delivery services.
Mahindra’s three-wheeler segment, including electric three-wheelers, also saw positive traction. Sales rose to 7,538 units, a 31 percent increase, highlighting the growing interest in affordable and electric mobility solutions for urban transport.
While domestic sales remained the key growth driver, Mahindra exported 2,820 vehicles in December 2025. Although exports saw a slight dip compared to last year for the month, the year-to-date export numbers still showed a 25 percent increase, reflecting Mahindra’s expanding global footprint.
Commenting on the achievement, Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said that 2025 ended on a very positive note for the company. He highlighted that Mahindra recorded its highest-ever sales volumes in both SUVs and light commercial vehicles, calling it a significant milestone.
