In a key milestone, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited has achieved a 1.17 lakh domestic sales milestone in the calendar year 2025. The group of brands includes Skoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley,
Lamborghini and Porsche. The cumulative car sales and exports surpassed 1,59,500 cars, giving the group a Year-on-Year lead of 36 percent. Here are the cars that made the most difference for the Skoda-Volkswagen group.
Cars built on the MQB-A0-IN platform specifically for India have proven to be the breadwinners for Skoda and Volkswagen. Skoda has achieved its highest-ever sales with the new Kylaq sub-4-metre SUV helping them record a 107 percent growth. On the other hand, the Volkswagen Virtus, based on the same platform, is leading the premium sedan segment with its 38 percent market share and overall, the group has exported over 7.15 lakh Made-in-India cars to GCC and ASEAN countries.
The Kylaq compact SUV has been an instant success for the Skoda brand since it launched in December 2024. The model had crossed the 30,000 sales milestone by September 2025 and offers customers a premium experience under the Rs 10 lakh bracket. However, prices for the Kylaq have recently been increased across select variants by up to Rs 19,295. It currently has a starting price of Rs 7.59 lakh ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 12.99 lakh ex-showroom for the top-end variant that gets features such as an electric sunroof, powered front seats and a 5-star crash safety rating from Bharat NCAP.

Other notable achievements for the group include the limited batch Golf GTI hatch and the Octavia RS sports sedan, which sold out within days in the country. The high-end brand highlights include the launch of the Q7 Signature Edition, Q3 and Q5 SUV Signature Lines and the RSQ8 Performance SUV. Supercar brand Lamborghini launched the Temerario supercar in India and Porsche expanded its domestic network to 13 customer touchpoints and Bentley cars joined the group as its sixth brand in the country, with dealerships already operational in major cities such as Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi.
