KTM has launched the all-new RC 160 in India, expanding its RC lineup with a new entry-level, track-focused motorcycle. Priced at Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the RC 160 is positioned as an accessible
fully-faired sportbike for young and aspiring riders. The new model brings KTM’s race-derived design language, hardware as well as performance to the 160cc segment, while sitting below the RC 200 and RC 390 in the brand’s portfolio. The RC 160 will be available across KTM dealerships nationwide.

New KTM RC 160: Mechanical Setup
Coming to the mechanical side of things, the all-new KTM RC 160 is powered by a 164.2cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine tuned for high-revving performance. This unit puts out 18.74 hp of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm, with a redline set at 10,200 rpm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and features an assist and slipper clutch. KTM claims a top speed of 118 km/h. This basically positions the RC 160 as a performance-oriented option in its class.
New KTM RC 160: Chassis, Suspension And Braking
Built around a trellis frame, the RC 160 uses a fully-faired sport design inspired by larger RC models. Suspension duties are handled by 37 mm upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking hardware includes a 320 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS as standard. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.
New KTM RC 160: Features And Technology
In terms of equipment, the RC 160 gets all-LED lighting, an LCD instrument cluster, and a 13.75-litre metal fuel tank. KTM has also included dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode, electronic fuel injection, and a CAN-enabled electronic system. Select variants are expected to offer navigation support, adding to everyday usability.

Positioning In KTM’s Line-Up
With the RC 160, KTM aims to offer a stepping stone into its RC racing range. The motorcycle is designed to attract riders looking for a fully-faired sportbike with track-inspired hardware at a lower entry price. KTM India, which operates in partnership with Bajaj Auto, continues to expand its product range to cater to different rider profiles in the Indian market.
