Bajaj Auto’s flagship streetfighter, the Pulsar NS400Z, recently hit the market with a price tag of Rs 1.92 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it the most powerful and feature-loaded Pulsar ever built, a clear
statement of intent from Bajaj in the growing mid-capacity naked motorcycle segment.

Available in four distinct colour options: Brooklyn Black, Glossy Racing Red, Pearl Metallic White, and Pewter Grey, the NS400Z carries forward the familiar muscular silhouette of the NS range but with a sharper, more premium appeal.

At its heart lies a 373.27cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 43 PS and 35 Nm of torque. This is paired with a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox and a 7-plate Assist & Slipper clutch for smoother downshifts. With a 12.2:1 compression ratio and ride-by-wire throttle, the NS400Z is tuned for responsive performance.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400z: Top Speed
Performance figures tell an impressive story. The Pulsar NS400Z can sprint from 0–60 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and 0–100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, with a top speed of 157 km/h (leaned) and 151 km/h (upright). Bajaj claims the bike takes 33 seconds to reach its maximum speed, not bad for a 174 kg street machine.

Underneath, it uses a perimeter frame for greater rigidity and handling precision. The suspension setup includes a 130 mm USD fork up front and a Nitrox monoshock with canister at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc, both supported by dual-channel ABS. Riders also get an off-road ABS mode for extra control on loose surfaces.

Other key highlights include traction control (MTC), a quick shifter (Sport Shift), navigation support, and a 12V charging socket. The Pulsar NS400Z’s all-digital instrument cluster features bonded glass, a full-colour display, and turn-by-turn navigation (TBT) along with information like distance-to-empty, instant fuel economy, and gear position. The Pulsar NS400Z has a seat height of 805 mm and ground clearance of 165 mm.
