Kia India is taking another step to strengthen its presence in the pre-owned car market, as the company has announced major updates to its Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program which offers extended warranties and certification coverage and not just for Kia cars but also for vehicles from other brands.
Starting from now, Kia has increased the certification age limit for pre-owned Kia models from 5 years to 7 years. These cars will now come with a warranty of up to 24 months (2 years) or 40,000 km, whichever comes first. This move gives customers more flexibility and assurance when buying a used Kia vehicle.
In another development, Kia India has also introduced a new certification and warranty plan for non-Kia cars that are sold through its CPO outlets.
Buyers can now get a warranty of up to 12 months or 15,000 km on certified cars from other brands. This means whether you buy a Kia or another brand’s pre-owned car, you will still get the benefit of Kia’s quality checks and after-sales support.

Atul Sood, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Kia India, emphasised, “With the enhanced Kia CPO warranty and the inclusion of other brands, we’re giving customers access to high-quality, certified vehicles they can trust. This reflects Kia’s focus on transparency, peace of mind, and customer satisfaction.”
Every car under the Kia Certified Pre-Owned program undergoes a strict 175-point inspection to ensure top quality and reliability. This covers everything from the engine and electronics to safety features and interiors. Only vehicles that meet Kia’s rigorous standards are certified and sold under the program.
Kia’s CPO network is growing rapidly, now boasting 114 outlets across India. The brand aims to make used car buying as safe, reliable and transparent as buying a new one. With this development and expansion, Kia is positioning itself as a strong player in the organized used car segment which offers customers value, trust and long-term confidence.
