The new Keeway Hypevolt-R has been launched in India as the brand's first electric scooter. It carries an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.99 lakh. Being the brand's premium performance electric scooter, the electric 2W stands out from traditional EVs with an aggressive and sportier appearance. Keeway has also commenced bookings for the Hypevolt-R across India. Interested customers can reserve their scooter by paying a token amount of Rs 5,000. Keeway Hypevolt-R: Design And Colours
The Hypevolt-R has a maxi-style scooter styling. The overall appearance has a muscular stance and is unique from traditional EVs that you commonly see on Indian roads. The first glance at it reminds you of the highly premium BMW CE 04.
Keeway is offering its first-ever electric scooter in India in multiple colour options, including Crystal White and Platinum Grey. It is positioned as a premium electric scooter for younger buyers and enthusiasts who want strong performance, advanced safety technology and sportier styling.
Keeway Hypevolt-R Battery And Range
The Hypevolt-R develops 16.09hp of power with a mid-mounted permanent magnet synchronous (PMS) electric motor. It features two removable 5kWh battery packs and has a claimed IDC-certified range of up to 180 kilometres on a full charge. The 0 to 40km/h acceleration time is 2.3 seconds, and the top speed is rated at 115km/h. The Keeway offering has three riding modes, such as Eco, Normal and Sport. With the onboard charging system, the battery can be replenished from 0 to 80% in roughly 3 hours.

Keeway has equipped the scooter with a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity alongside an array of electronic rider assistance systems like hill descent control, blind spot detection, traction control, cruise control, dual-channel ABS, and rear reverse camera. The Keeway electric scooter gets a projector LED headlamp. As for the hardware, the Hypevolt-R comes fitted with 14-inch alloy wheels shod in 100/80 front and 120/70 rear tyres. It has telescopic front forks and five-step adjustable twin rear shock absorbers.
