The Honda Shine 125, one of the most popular commuter motorcycles in India, has received a price cut following the implementation of GST 2.0. With the revised tax structure, the Shine 125 has become more affordable, with prices dropping by up to Rs 7,443 depending on the variant.
The Shine 125 continues to be Honda’s highest-selling motorcycle in the country, offering a strong mix of reliability, fuel efficiency, and practicality for daily commuting. The reduced prices are expected to make the model an even more attractive choice for buyers in the entry-level segment.
In India, the Shine 125 is available in two variants: Drum and Disc. After the price revision, the Drum variant is priced at Rs 78,539, while the Disc variant costs Rs 82,898 (both
ex-showroom). Powering the Shine 125 is a 123.94cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 10.63 hp and 11 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox, tuned to deliver smooth performance and excellent fuel efficiency, one of the key reasons behind the Shine’s popularity in the commuter motorcycle space.

The Shine 125 also comes with a practical set of dimensions suited for city use. It measures 2,046 mm in length, 741 mm in width, and 1,116 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,285 mm. The ground clearance stands at 162 mm, while the kerb weight is 113 kg. The motorcycle features a seat height of 791 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 10.5 litres, ensuring good comfort and usability for daily riders.
On the hardware front, the Shine 125 is built on a diamond-type frame. It gets telescopic forks at the front and hydraulic suspension at the rear for balanced ride quality. Braking duties are handled by a 240 mm front disc (or a drum, depending on the variant) and a 130 mm rear drum. The motorcycle runs on 18-inch wheels with 80/100-section front and 90/90-section rear tyres.

In terms of features, Honda equips the Shine 125 with a fully digital instrument cluster featuring a negative LCD display. The bike also offers an idle stop-start system, adding to its fuel efficiency in stop-and-go city traffic.
