The 2026 Kawasaki Z900RS still carries its old-school charm, but under the skin, it’s packed with new tech. It now gets a ride-by-wire throttle for smoother response and, more importantly, cruise control. A bidirectional quickshifter has also been added.
Kawasaki has also fitted an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which unlocks the Kawasaki Cornering Management Function. In simple terms, it helps the bike stay stable and controlled while cornering, even when braking or accelerating. It’s a feature you’d usually find on sportbikes, so its inclusion here is a big step forward for the Z900RS.

Powering the new Z900RS is the familiar inline-four engine,
now tuned for smoother low-end delivery while keeping its thrilling top-end performance intact. There’s also a new megaphone-style exhaust that delivers a deeper, more classic sound without being too loud.
The suspension setup remains sporty, with a 41mm adjustable upside-down fork and a rear monoshock. Seat height stands at 835mm, but Kawasaki will also offer a lower 810mm seat option for better reach. That means more riders can enjoy this bike comfortably, regardless of height.
Retro-styled motorcycles with modern tech are booming in India, and the Z900RS fits that trend perfectly. With features like ride-by-wire, cruise control, and cornering aids, this bike could attract riders who want classic looks with cutting-edge performance.
