Suzuki Motorcycle India has achieved a major milestone in its journey in the country, as the company has officially produced 1 crore (10 million) two-wheelers since beginning operations in 2006. The Suzuki Access Ride Connect Edition which rolled out from the brand’s manufacturing plant in Gurugram, Haryana, marked a big moment for the Japanese manufacturer’s Indian presence.
It took the company 14 years to produce its first 50 lakh units and impressively, the next 50 lakh units were built in just six more years, showing how fast the brand has expanded recently.

Scooters Lead The Success Story
A big hero in Suzuki’s lineup is the Suzuki Access 125, which is one of
the most popular scooters in India. First launched as a simple 125cc family scooter, the Access has received many upgrades over the years and continues to be the company’s top seller. Along with the Access, Suzuki also sells other scooters like the Burgman Street and Avenis, both aimed at young buyers.

In the motorcycle segment, Suzuki offers the Gixxer series in 150cc and 250cc categories, the adventure-style V-Strom SX and high-performance big bikes like the Hayabusa, GSX-8R, and V-Strom 800 DE.
Growing Manufacturing And Export Strength
Suzuki currently manufactures all its two-wheelers at the Gurugram plant and exports them to over 60 countries, including markets in Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia. The company also has a strong presence in India with 1,200+ sales and service touchpoints, which makes it easy for customers to access service across the country. To meet the rising demand, Suzuki is building a second manufacturing facility in Kharkhoda, Haryana.
Future-Ready With New Technology
Suzuki has already launched the Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel, which can run on E85 fuel (a blend of 85% ethanol). This reduces emissions and supports India’s push for greener mobility. The company has also confirmed that it will enter the electric scooter market soon with the Suzuki e-Access, which is a battery-powered version of its popular Access scooter.
