The ICE-powered GLC SUV has been the brand's best-seller in the US and the new GLC Electric is aimed at complementing those numbers. The GLC Electric has a 483 hp output and a claimed range of up to 713 km on a full charge. Other notable showcases by Mercedes-Benz at CES 2026 include enhanced video streaming in the new CLA Electric with DTS AudioStage Video powered by TiVo. The CLA EV is also the first Mercedes-Benz to feature the next-generation of MB.DRIVE technologies that are powered by NVIDIA's AI-driven tech. It merges driving assistance and navigation functions, which means that at the press of a button, the CLA can assist the driver in navigating through city streets, with advanced Level 2 ADAS. However, steering control can still be manually overridden without deactivating the system. The GLC Electric, on the other hand, is expected to launch in the US in the second half of 2026.
