Tata Sierra was seen again on the streets of Mumbai, which indicates that the SUV is inching closer to the launch. This is the version that Tata had displayed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, and now shows overt clues toward production in recent spy shots through clearer body lines, flush door handles, and even to an ADAS module in its bumper. Tata will offer both ICE and electric variants of this
model, with a 1.5-litre petrol motor, possibly being part of the lineup. The firm plans to set up production early next year, and industrial sources put price estimates for Sierra at about Rs 20 lakh. Here is what these recent spottings bring out regarding this new SUV.

What The Latest Spotting Reveals
The new pictures show the Sierra’s classic shape with its elongated stance, boxy rear, flat tailgate, and the well-known quarter-panel glass. This test car wears less camouflage than older ones, so things like illuminated, flush-fitting door handles, and a wide rear spoiler can be seen clearly now. Observers also noted a slat-pattern grille and a shark-fin antenna, all signs the prototype is nearing production specification. This set of photos gives a better view of the proportions and what kind of road stance to expect from the finished car.
Features
From the spy shots, practical features include a large glass area for the rear quarters and an integrated ADAS radar or sensor pack in the bumper— a hint at advanced driver aids being standard or widely available. Wheel designs and trim details seem to stress a premium positioning, which goes with Tata calling the Sierra a flagship product.

Powertrain Options
Tata will offer multiple powertrain options. Apart from the EV version, a 1.5-litre petrol engine is being tested by the company. Preliminary reports have also indicated possible diesel alternatives, but officially Tata has so far only emphasised its electrification plans.
