Lexus has confirmed that the 2026 LS 500 AWD Heritage Edition will serve as the final iteration of its flagship sedan. The automaker will build just 250 units for the U.S. market as a tribute to the LS lineage.
This Heritage Edition replaces the previous LS variants, including the hybrid version, which Lexus quietly dropped after the 2025 model year. Under the hood, it retains a twin-turbo 3.4-litre V6 producing 416 hp of maximum power and 599 Nm of peak torque.

Lexus LS Sedan: Design and Interior Features
The Heritage Edition arrives in a mono spec format and introduces the Ninety Noir exterior paint, marking a first for Lexus, paired with a Rioja Red interior — the first time that theme is used in an LS sedan. Unique touches include laser-etched black wood trim, Ultrasuede headliner, panoramic glass roof, and dark gray 20-spoke wheels. The centre console carries a “Heritage Edition” emblem, and LS silhouettes are embroidered into the headrests. Standard features include heated seating, power lift-up buckles, and the 23-speaker Mark Levinson Reference Surround audio system.
Lexus LS Sedan: Performance And Mechanical Setup
All 2026 LS models will now be sold exclusively in this Heritage Edition trim. The drivetrain pairing remains the twin-turbo V6 with a 10-speed automatic, delivering power through a full-time all-wheel-drive setup with a Torsen limited-slip center differential. Its acceleration mark—0 to 100 km/h—is reported as around 5.2 seconds in similar LS500 configurations. The Heritage Edition does not include the Dynamic Handling Package found in prior F-Sport variants.

The End Of An Era
Lexus has already pulled the LS sedan from the U.K. market earlier in 2025, citing weak sales and regulatory pressures. The Heritage Edition is framed as a send-off — dubbed a “final year tribute” by Lexus. With no confirmation yet on successors, Lexus suggests the LS name could survive in a different form, perhaps a crossover. In summary, the 2026 LS500 Heritage Edition closes the book on Lexus’s first flagship sedan. It blends exclusive styling cues, full features, and limited volume to deliver a final chapter for a nameplate long associated with the brand’s luxury ambitions.
