TVS Motor Company has recently updated the prices of TVS Raider 125 in India by introducing a minor price hike across variants. It impacts different trims of this very popular 125cc commuter bike and is part of an ongoing process whereby gradual corrections are being made to two-wheeler prices around the country. Though not completely across the board, in most variants, the price has increased by a few hundred to more than a thousand rupees. The Raider 125 continues to be offered in several guises, right from an entry drum brake model up to versions equipped with TFT instrumentation and dual disc brakes.

The latest revision has seen the prices go up to Rs 1,250. The lower variants have been adjusted nominally while the top-end SXC and TFT dual disc variants bear most of the hike. Despite this, the Raider 125 is still quite competitively placed in the 125cc commuter motorcycle segment.
Impact On On-Road Prices
The new ex-showroom prices will take the on-road prices close to Rs 1 lakh in most cities after adding registration, insurance, and local taxes. The difference in on-road price hike between a metro or Tier-1 city and a smaller town is not much but yes, it is slightly higher for the buyer in a big city mainly because of different RTO charges.
