Skoda has officially opened pre-bookings for the all-new Octavia RS in India, marking the return of its high-performance sedan. The car can now be booked for a token amount of Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Only 100 units will be available in the first batch, making it an exclusive offering.
Under the hood, the new Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine producing 265 hp and 370 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive. Skoda claims a 0-100 kmph time of 6.4 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph. The sedan features progressive steering, sports suspension, and a tuned exhaust system for a more engaging drive.
On the design front, the Octavia RS carries
a sporty look with gloss black accents on the grille, window surrounds, mirrors, and badging. It also gets a rear spoiler, black exhaust tailpipes, and signature RS bumpers. The sedan will be available in five colours – Mamba Green, Candy White, Race Blue, Magic Black, and Velvet Red. The car rides on 19-inch ‘Elias’ alloy wheels with low-profile 225/40 R19 tyres.

Inside, the cabin is built around the driver. It features front sports seats upholstered in Suedia and leatherette with heating, massage, and memory functions. The dashboard and trims get carbon-style detailing, red stitching, and a black headliner. The three-spoke perforated leather steering wheel, aluminium pedals, and ambient lighting complete the sporty setup.
The equipment list is extensive. The Octavia RS comes with a 26.03 cm Virtual Cockpit, 32.77 cm touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 675W Canton sound system with 11 speakers and a subwoofer, wireless charging with ventilation, and multiple USB-C ports.

Safety features include ten airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blind spot detection, ESC, ABS with EBD, multi-collision braking, and a 360-degree camera. Other convenience features include keyless entry, an electrically operated boot with virtual pedal, intelligent park assist, and a 3-zone Climatronic AC system.
