Small Indian families are more inclined towards scooters as they are the go-to choice for daily commuting, as they are easy to ride, light on the pocket, and practical for everyday city traffic. Among the many options available in India, the Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter stand out as the most popular names. Both the scooters are reliable and available in 110cc and 125cc versions, but they cater to slightly different needs of the customers.
Starting with the 110cc versions, the Honda Activa is priced slightly higher starting at Rs 81,045 (ex-showroom) than the Jupiter which starts at Rs 78 881 (ex-showroom). Honda also offers an all-metal body, giving the Activa a sturdy and long-lasting life. On the other hand, the TVS Jupiter is more affordable
and comes with a slightly larger 113.3cc engine that feels dynamic during acceleration. It is also better suited for bumpy Indian roads and the credit goes to its superior suspension system.

When it comes to features, the Jupiter has the upper hand with a much larger 33-litre storage, an external fuel filler that is easy to use and small but useful touches like a pass-light switch, whereas the Activa keeps things simple but makes up for it with strong resale value and the trust of a long-standing brand.
Moving to the 125cc versions, the list is quite similar. The Activa 125 remains the more expensive choice, which offers Honda’s signature style and smoothness with 46-55 kmpl mileage. However, it might not be the most exciting scooter to ride.
The Jupiter 125, on the other hand, delivers more fun with its engine and manages to be more fuel-efficient too, giving up to 57 kmpl in city conditions. It also comes across as the more practical option with spacious under-seat storage and more accommodating floorboard, which makes it very convenient for everyday use.
