Skoda is again gearing up to bring something special to India’s premium SUV space after the launch of the all new Kushaq. The brand has officially confirmed that the Skoda Kodiaq RS will be launched in India by June 2026 and this will be the first Skoda SUV in India to wear the sporty ‘RS’ badge, which stands for ‘Rally Sport’ and is usually reserved for the brand’s most powerful and performance-focused models.
The Kodiaq RS is essentially a more powerful, sportier and more aggressive version of the regular Skoda Kodiaq and it will sit above the standard model in the lineup and is expected to be brought to India in limited numbers.
Skoda Kodiaq RS - Engine and Performance
The Skoda Kodiaq RS gets an upgraded 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, which
produces 261.3 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox (DSG) and an all-wheel-drive system, which ensures strong grip and confident performance.
Skoda claims that the Kodiaq RS can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds, which is quick for a large SUV, with the top speed is rated at 231 kmph. The SUV also comes with upgraded brakes which includes slotted brake discs and two-piston callipers at the front. Adaptive suspension is offered on global models, though Skoda is yet to confirm whether the India-spec version will get it or not.Skoda Kodiaq RS - Design
The Kodiaq RS looks more aggressive than the regular model as it features a blacked-out front grille, a revised front bumper with larger air intakes and 20-inch alloy wheels paired with red brake callipers. Blacked-out elements such as the roof rails, mirror caps, window surrounds, and C-pillar adds extra charm to its sporty appeal.
Skoda Kodiaq RS - Interior
From the inside, the cabin has an all-black theme with red highlights and contrast stitching. The seats look more sporties and offer better support and features ‘RS’ branding on the headrests. Technologically it has a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver’s display. Unlike many modern cars, Skoda has retained physical rotary knobs for climate control and volume.

Skoda Kodiaq RS - Expected Price
While the standard Kodiaq is assembled in India, the Kodiaq RS is expected to be imported as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) and because of this, pricing will be on the higher side. Skoda is expected to price the Kodiaq RS between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom).
