Audi has officially unveiled its first-ever Formula 1 concept car ‘Audi R26 Concept’, which marks a major milestone for the German automaker as it gears up for its highly anticipated entry into Formula 1 in 2026.
The reveal took place at Audi’s Brand Experience Center in Munich, just 115 days before its first official F1 race gave the fans a taste of what the brand’s racing identity will look like soon.
According to Gernot Döllner, CEO of Audi, the brand’s move into Formula 1 represents more than just a racing ambition, but it is a symbol of Audi’s transformation into a leaner, faster and more innovative company. “By entering the pinnacle of motorsport, Audi is making a clear, ambitious statement. We are not entering Formula 1 just to participate - we want to win,” said Döllner. He also underscored Audi’s long-term goal - to be competing for the World Championship title by 2030.
The R26 Concept
The R26 Concept showcases Audi’s fresh design philosophy that blends clarity, technology, intelligence and emotion. The car’s appearance is minimalist yet powerful with clean geometric surfaces and sharp design lines that mirror Audi’s modern design concept.
Its color palette combines titanium, carbon black and a new shade called Audi red, which is a symbol of performance and passion. In a bold design move, Audi will use red rings selectively on the car which will highlight its new F1 identity while maintaining a link to its signature four-ring logo.

Audi’s F1 journey marks a new era for the brand, one that blends its legacy of innovation with the excitement of motorsport’s biggest stage.
