Expanding its electric vehicle portfolio, Mahindra has now launched the new XUV 3XO EV in India. The new mid-sized electric SUV is the EV counterpart of the ICE-powered XUV 3XO and has a starting price
of Rs 13.89 lakh ex-showroom. However, at that price point, the 3XO EV also undercuts the XUV400 EV from Mahindra, which does not feature an extensive feature list like the new electric SUV. Here's a quick specification and range comparison between the new XUV 3XO EV and the XUV400 EV to understand which one suits you better.
Apart from the obvious design differences, the dimensions of the two electric SUVs are mostly identical. The major difference between the two can be found in the equipment. The new XUV 3XO EV has been launched with a 39.5 Km battery pack that offers a real-world range of 285 km, as claimed by Mahindra. On the other hand, the XUV400 EV is offered in a 34.5 kWh battery and a 39.4 kWh battery option and both have MIDC-certified range figures of 359 km and 456 km, respectively.
Both SUVs are offered in two main variants, the XUV 3XO gets the AX5 and AX7L variants, while the XUV400 gets the EC Pro and EL Pro variants. The EL Pro also gets an option with the smaller battery pack. However, the powertrain of the more powerful XUV400 EL Pro comes as standard in the XUV 3XO EV. This means that the 3XO EV offers a bigger battery pack and a power output of 147 hp and 310 Nm torque as standard.
Perhaps, the biggest difference between the two comes in the price department. The new 3XO EV is priced between RS 13.89 lakh and Rs 14.96 lakh ex-showroom with a fresher design and better tech features. Meanwhile, the XUV400 EV is priced between Rs 15.99 lakh and Rs 18.99 lakh ex-showroom, except for the EL Pro variant with the smaller battery pack that is priced at Rs 16.49 lakh ex-showroom.
