Royal Enfield recorded a strong start to July with its June 2026 sales report showing 1,14,032 motorcycles sold, a 27% increase over the same month last year. The biggest headline, however, wasn't just the sales growth. June also marked the start of customer deliveries for the Flying Flea C6, the company's first electric motorcycle, beginning from Bengaluru. For buyers, it signals two things at once: Royal Enfield's traditional motorcycle business continues to grow, while its long-awaited electric journey has officially moved from showcases to customer garages.
Royal Enfield Sales Overview
The numbers show that domestic demand remained the biggest contributor. Royal Enfield sold 1,02,930 motorcycles in India during June, compared with 76,957 units in the same month last
year, registering a 34% increase. Exports, however, moved in the opposite direction. Overseas shipments stood at 11,102 units, down from 12,583 motorcycles a year ago. Even with exports slowing, total monthly sales climbed to 1,14,032 units, up from 89,540 units in June 2025.
The year-to-date picture also remains positive. Between April and June, Royal Enfield sold 3,30,427 motorcycles, representing 24 per cent growth over the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Domestic volumes grew by 32%, while exports declined by 20% during the same period.
Flying Flea Deliveries Commence
June wasn't just about sales. Royal Enfield handed over the first Flying Flea C6 electric motorcycles to customers in Bengaluru, marking the commercial rollout of its new electric mobility brand. Rather than launching nationwide immediately, the company is following a phased, city-by-city expansion.
To support the new motorcycle, Royal Enfield has also introduced a dedicated ownership ecosystem that includes a hub-and-spoke service network, shop-in-shop retail outlets and 24x7 roadside assistance. These steps are aimed at making the ownership experience different from its conventional motorcycle range.
What's Next?
Alongside the sales update, Royal Enfield highlighted several initiatives planned for its riding community. The company has opened registrations for the inaugural Himalayan Basecamp – Ladakh Edition which is scheduled for September while the 22nd edition of the Himalayan Odyssey was flagged off during June as part of its 125th anniversary celebrations. Earlier in the month, Royal Enfield also unveiled a World Origin Site plaque at its first factory location in Redditch, England, commemorating the brand's heritage.
For buyers, June reflects a month of transition. The company's core motorcycle business continues to record healthy domestic demand while the Flying Flea C6 has now entered the hands of its first customers. The coming months will indicate whether that momentum extends to Royal Enfield's electric portfolio as deliveries expand beyond Bengaluru.
