TVS Electric Vehicle Sales Jump 77 Percent With New Orbiter, iQube and X Scooter

TVS Motor Company has recorded a robust growth in the third-quarter of the financial year 2025-26 (Q3FY26), with 15.44 lakh total sales. Out of these, TVS sold 14.84 lakh two-wheelers, which was 3.01 lakh more

than the previous year's 11.83 lakh two-wheelers in Q3FY25. More importantly, the Electric Vehicles division of the automaker recorded a 77 percent growth in sales in December 2025, with models such as the TVS X, iQube and the newly launched Orbiter electric scooter. Here are more details.

In terms of three-wheelers, TVS saw a 106 percent growth from last year with 0.60 lakh sales. International sales for the brand also grew by 40 percent from 2.94 lakh units to 4.10 lakh units in Q3FY26.

Coming to December 2025, TVS Motor Company's two-wheeler sales grew by 48 percent to 4.61 lakh units. This included domestic sales of 3.30 lakh two-wheelers at an increase of 54 percent over the same period last year. Motorcycles registered a 50 percent growth and scooters grew by 48 percent for TVS in December 2025.

As mentioned before, electric vehicles for TVS also saw a 77 percent growth in December 2025 sales, as TVS was able to sell 35,605 units in comparison to December 2024's 20,171 units. The brand's existing EV portfolio has models such as the TVS X high-end scooter, iQube electric scooter and the newly launched Orbiter electric scooter.

It can be assumed that the growth in EV sales was mainly contributed by the long-running iQube line of electric scooters and the new Orbiter electric commuter scooters. Prices for the iQube start from Rs 84,999 and for the Orbiter, from Rs 99,900. The TVS X, on the other hand, is a more high-end and niche product with a starting price tag of Rs 2.49 lakh ex-showroom. It offers a 3.8 kWh battery with a 140 km of claimed range, a 0-40 kmph acceleration time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 105 kmph.
