Jeep is recalling about 1.23 lakh Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs in the U.S. because a trim piece on the rear quarter window could come off while driving. The latest recall covers multiple model years and variants of the brand's big cash cow SUVs. The main worry is that if the trim gets loose or comes off completely, it will pose a safety hazard for other drivers, either by creating debris or by blocking their visibility. Affected owners have already been informed by Jeep. Now, the carmaker will inspect and repair through its dealer network at no additional cost.

Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer: Which Models And Production Years Are Affected
The recall encompasses Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models built between 2022 and 2025 across several trim
levels. According to recall documents, the issue is actually a quarter-window trim and not the main window glass itself. Since this is a trim piece used across many variants and model years, there are quite a few vehicles to be recalled.
Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer: Nature Of The Defect And Risk
In the affected SUVs, the quarter window rear trim might not be fastened. Over time or under conditions of vibration, different temperatures in the environment, and aging adhesives, it may come off and eventually fall off the vehicle. Once falling off the vehicle, this trim piece has great potential to strike adjacent vehicles or turn into road debris, therefore, posing a safety hazard to other drivers.
Jeep's Repair Process
Jeep will check every unit to verify if the car has the said defect. Should it be found that the trim is loose or has not been attached properly, dealership service centres will reapply or replace the component using updated fasteners or adhesives. Owners who have bought units of these affected vehicles should have already received those recall notifications.

What Owners Should Do
Anyone who owns a 2022–2025 Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer in the US should find out if their vehicle is part of the recall. Until the vehicle gets checked or fixed, do not drive fast on rough roads or under conditions that bring about much vibration. Also look at the rear quarter windows for any sign of lifting trim. Cracks should also be watched for in those windows. Get service right away to stop more problems and to stay safe on the road.
