Lexus has sparked a wave amongst car enthusiasts and brand lovers with something interesting and unexpected, which is - a six-wheeled luxury minivan called the Lexus LS Concept, revealed at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show.
While the name “LS” means Lexus’ famous ‘Luxury Sedan’, this new version is a complete different. In fact, LS no longer stands for “Luxury Sedan”, it now means “Luxury Space.”
This concept is bold, boxy and futuristic, which is built to carry people in ultimate comfort and style. This minivan is designed with three rows of seats and six wheels and this LS Concept looks nothing like any Lexus before it. But this isn’t Lexus’s first step into the minivan world, the company has already been selling the Lexus LM, a premium van based
on Toyota’s Alphard and Vellfire. The new ‘LS’ Concept, however, takes luxury to an entirely new level.

According to Toyota’s Chief Branding Officer, Simon Humphries, Lexus is ready to “push forward as a pioneer” and “move more freely.” The vehicle’s sharp, angular design gives it a futuristic look, while its massive dual panoramic glass roof makes the cabin feel bright and roomy.
From the inside, the LS Concept is built for pure luxury. Expect plush seats, acres of legroom, and bamboo shades for privacy. Although Lexus hasn’t revealed its exact specs, experts believe it’s fully electric which will offer a smooth, silent drive.
While it might seem strange to turn a luxury sedan name into a futuristic six-wheeled minivan, Lexus clearly wants to redefine what luxury means. Whether you love it or find it odd, one thing is certain this is a concept that dreams big and thinks beyond the ordinary.
Simon Humphries, said, "We as a brand believe that the emotional side of driving will always remain. The Lexus Sport Concept is a chance to discover complete immersion. An experience that engages all the senses in ways never experienced before. The ability to discover duality a car that is as fun for the driver as it is for the passenger. A balance of contradictions that has always been Lexus's forte. As Lexus's flagship series these vehicles form an arrowhead to lead the brand into the future. A future where you can curate your own luxury lifestyle. And it's becoming clear that that future lifestyle will require many components."
