While the mid-sized SUV segment in India is being dominated by both South Korean and domestic carmakers, European brands such as Volkswagen and Skoda have had their own models fight it out in the segment since
2021. At present, both the Volkswagen Taigun and the Skoda Kushaq are due for a mid-life facelift and spy shots circulating the internet suggest that work is well underway. Based on spy shot visuals, the Skoda Kushaq might be the first European mid-sized SUV to get the much-needed refresh and the test mules give us a fair idea of what to expect once the facelift is launched in the coming months. Here are five big updates that we expect to see in the 2026 Skoda Kushaq SUV.

1. 360-Degree Parking Camera in Kushaq Facelift:
Among the major drawbacks that current buyers of the Kushaq face is the absence of a high-resolution reverse parking camera. The new Kushaq facelift is expected to solve that problem and take it a step further by offering a 360-degree parking camera that will also bring its value proposition at par with the rivals.
2. Kushaq Facelift With Panoramic Sunroof:
The spy shots circulating social media have confirmed that the Skoda Kushaq facelift will now offer a panoramic glass sunroof. It is currently unclear if Skoda will kepp or discontinue the single-pane electric sunroof in the lower models of the facelifted Kushaq.
3. Updated Lighting And Design Tweaks:
Visuals also suggest a substantial redesign and improved lighting in the upcoming Kushaq facelift. We can expect a redesign of the front LED headlamp and DRL units, along with a connected LED taillight design at the rear. Subtle design tweaks for the front and rear bumper are also likely to be revealed in the updated car.
4. New Alloy Wheel Design:
Another key highlight of the facelifted Kushaq would be a refreshed design for the 17-inch alloy wheels that come with the SUV. We can expect new alloy wheel designs to be offered with diamond-cut and blacked-out finishes to attract new buyers and differentiate the facelift version from the older car.
5. 2026 Kushaq With Level 2 ADAS Safety:
While the brand has not yet confirmed any details about the upcoming Kushaq, we expect to see Level 2 ADAS safety systems make a debut in the facelifted version. Safety being among Skoda's cornerstones, the advanced safety functions will give the new car a better crash safety rating and also bring it at par with its rivals in the segment.
