Skoda India recently revealed the 2026 Kushaq facelift SUV for India. The new Kushaq gets major updates in terms of its design, features, tech and drivetrain and the variant lineup has been slightly rejigged
for 2026 as well. While the top-end Monte Carlo now gets customisable interior themes, panoramic sunroof, a 10.7-inch touchscreen, massage seats at the rear and a lot more, the base Classic Plus variant of the SUV has set new benchmarks in itself. Here's what Skoda offers in the 2026 Kushaq base variant.
The new Kushaq is available in five different trim lines, called Classic Plus, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo. The lineup starts from the Classic Plus base variant, which is available with the 1.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine. While it will still be offered with a 6-speed manual, Skoda has now removed the older 6-speed automatic and replaced it with the option of an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox from the base variant itself.
This gives buyers of the most affordable Kushaq variant the option of both manual and automatic transmission. That's not all because the Kushaq Classic Plus will also offer features such as a single-pane electric sunroof, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps and taillamps, a 6.9-inch touchscreen with speakers, automatic climate control, sequential rear turn indicators and a lot more. Skoda will further give customers of the base variant Kushaq the option of getting front parking sensors. Other standard equipment in the SUV includes rain sensing wipers, rear wiper and a defogger.
The only thing that the Kushaq Classic Plus misses out on is the digital driver information display. It also offers 6 airbags and over 25 active and passive safety features as standard. However, the top-end trims now get over 40 safety features in comparison. Nevertheless, the 2026 Kushaq has a 5-star crash safety rating from Global NCAP, sticking to the SUV's core fundamentals.
