The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift does not look like a complete overhaul, but it could still end up being an important update for buyers waiting on the SUV. From what is currently expected, Maruti Suzuki seems to be focusing on the areas where the Brezza has started feeling slightly behind newer rivals - mainly infotainment, styling freshness as well as engine options. The overall shape is likely to stay familiar because the current Brezza still sells strongly, but smaller updates across the exterior, cabin and powertrain could make a noticeable difference in everyday ownership. One of the biggest talking points right now is the possibility of a turbo-petrol engine finally joining the lineup.
The Design Will Probably Stay Familiar
Do not expect the Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift
to suddenly look like an all-new SUV. The basic proportions and overall silhouette are expected to remain largely the same.
Most of the changes will likely happen around the front and rear bumpers, grille and lighting elements. Revised LED headlamps and updated taillamp detailing are expected along with a slightly sharper-looking front bumper. Maruti Suzuki may also add fresh alloy wheel designs and a few new colour options to make the SUV feel newer on the road.
Inside, the cabin is expected to get more noticeable updates than the exterior. A larger touchscreen is likely, which makes sense because bigger displays have now become almost standard in this segment. Revised upholstery and dashboard trim pieces may also be introduced to freshen up the interior without redesigning the entire cabin.
The Turbo-Petrol Engine Is The Real Story
The bigger update may actually sit under the bonnet rather than outside the SUV. There is growing speculation around the Brezza facelift getting Maruti Suzuki’s 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine on select variants. That matters because turbo-petrol engines have become increasingly common among rivals in the compact SUV segment.
Right now, the Brezza continues with the familiar 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, and that setup is expected to stay. CNG versions will likely continue as well because they remain important for buyers focused on running costs.
But if the turbo engine arrives, it could change the Brezza’s character slightly. Buyers looking for quicker acceleration and stronger highway performance may finally have a more performance-oriented option within the lineup.

More Features Are Likely Coming Too
Maruti Suzuki is also expected to push the technology angle harder with this update. Apart from the larger infotainment system, the Brezza facelift could receive upgraded connected car features and additional safety equipment on higher variants.
The idea here does not seem to be reinventing the Brezza completely. Instead, Maruti Suzuki appears to be trying to keep the SUV competitive in a segment where newer rivals are becoming increasingly feature-heavy and performance-focused.
