Ferrari Purosangue gets a new Handling Speciale (HS) package for 2027, adding sharper suspension tuning and revised gearbox calibration without changing the core V12 performance. The key update is clear: this optional pack focuses on improving cornering stability and driver response rather than increasing power, which matters for Indian buyers looking at better control on fast highways. The Purosangue continues with its 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 producing around 715 bhp and 716 Nm, but the HS package changes how that performance is delivered on the road.
What The Handling Speciale Package Actually Changes
The HS package primarily reworks the SUV’s active suspension system. Ferrari has introduced new damper settings and updated control logic to reduce body roll and improve stability during
high-speed direction changes. The suspension reacts faster to inputs, which translates to more controlled handling, especially in Sport and performance-focused drive modes.
Gearbox calibration has also been revised. The 8-speed dual-clutch transmission now delivers quicker and more decisive shifts when driven aggressively. This doesn’t alter acceleration figures but changes how responsive the car feels under throttle.
Additionally, electronic systems such as traction control and vehicle dynamics software have been recalibrated. The goal is to allow more precise control without compromising safety, particularly during spirited driving.
No Change In Power, Focus Remains On Dynamics
The Purosangue continues unchanged mechanically, retaining its 6.5-litre V12 engine with outputs of about 715 bhp and 716 Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels, and performance figures remain the same as before.
This distinction is important. Ferrari has not increased output or altered top speed. Instead, the HS package focuses on how effectively that power is used, especially through corners and under load.
For buyers comparing specifications, the numbers stay identical, but the driving behaviour is where the difference lies.

What It Means For Buyers
Most high-performance SUVs in India spend more time on highways than on tracks. A setup that improves stability and reduces body movement at speed can make a noticeable difference in real-world driving.
What this really means is the HS package offers a more focused driving experience without changing everyday usability. Since it is optional, buyers can choose between a more comfort-oriented setup or a sharper, more responsive configuration.
For Indian conditions, where road quality varies, this flexibility matters. It allows buyers to prioritise either ride comfort or handling precision based on how they plan to use the vehicle.
