Honda has revealed the Honda Dio 125 X Edition in India ahead of its launch. This means we now have a new variant in the brand's popular 125cc scooter range. What is different about the new edition is that it comes with visual updates and new features. These are offered in the form of a TFT instrument display, a new paint job and several other upgrades. However, the mechanical setup of the Dio 125 X Edition is same as the standard model. This variant is obviously positioned above the regular Dio 125 and will command a slight premium over the latter. Honda Dio 125 X Edition: Visual Updates
The most noticeable change on the Dio 125 X Edition is its refreshed styling. Honda has introduced a new matte paint option called Pearl Siren Blue With Pearl Deep Ground Gray. It comes with contrasting graphics to give scooter a more sharp look. Moreover, the subtle X Edition badging differentiates this particular variant from the regular Dio 125. The overall body panels, headlamp design and proportions remain unchanged.
Honda Dio 125 X Edition: New Features
A major upgrade on the Dio 125 X Edition is the addition of a TFT instrument cluster. The display provides clearer readouts for speed, fuel level, trip information and other riding data compared to the earlier LCD unit. The scooter also gets a USB Type-C charging port, improving device compatibility and convenience for daily commuters.
Compared with rivals in the 125cc scooter segment, the TFT screen and USB Type-C port on the Dio 125 X Edition bring it closer to offerings like the TVS NTorq and Yamaha RayZR 125 which already feature more advanced digital displays and connectivity options.
Honda Dio 125 X Edition: Engine Setup
Mechanically, the Dio 125 X Edition remains unchanged. It continues to use the 123.92cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 8.19 bhp and 10.5 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a CVT transmission and supports Honda’s idle start-stop system for improved fuel efficiency in city traffic. Suspension, braking hardware and wheel sizes are identical to the standard variant.
Honda Dio 125 X Edition: Safety And Hardware
In terms of safety, the X Edition retains combined braking system (CBS) as standard. There are other elements from before as well like telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. No changes to tyre sizes or braking components. So basically, the scooter continues to focus on basic commuter-oriented safety features rather than advanced electronic aids.

Honda Dio 125 X Edition: Positioning And Availability
The Honda Dio 125 X Edition is positioned as a feature-enhanced variant within the Dio range. It is for buyers who want added tech and a distinct colour option without stepping up to a different scooter model. As mentioned before, pricing will be marginally higher than the standard Dio 125 due to feature tweaks.
