Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX: Upgrades And Special Features
Where the RX diverges is in ergonomic and aesthetic tweaks. The rider triangle is more aggressive, with lower clip-on handlebars and rear-set footpegs, designed to deliver a sportier riding posture. It also sports a distinctive neon yellow-black livery with RX graphics to set it apart visually. In terms of hardware, the RX benefits from Ohlins Smart EC 3.0 active suspension, complemented by an Ohlins SD EC steering damper. Braking is handled by Brembo Stylema callipers at the front and a Brembo setup at the rear, along with a radial master cylinder. It also comes equipped with an Akrapovic exhaust made of titanium and carbon fibre—more for visual and acoustic distinction than weight savings.
Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX: Engine and Performance
Powering the RX is the same 1,160cc, liquid-cooled, inline 3-cylinder, 12 valve, DOHC engine as the RS, producing 180 hp at 10,750 rpm and 128 Nm of torque at 8,750 rpm. It comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter. The bike also features a lightweight aluminium frame and weighs 189 kg (wet), ensuring a strong power-to-weight ratio. No mechanical changes have been made compared to the RS, so the performance levels remain identical.
Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX: Features And Equipment
The bike offers five riding modes — Rain, Road, Sport, Track, and a custom Rider mode. Other highlights include cornering ABS, switchable traction control, and a keyless system.

What It Means for Buyers
Because the RX is a limited edition, availability will be constrained. Buyers should confirm allocation and delivery timelines with Triumph dealerships. The RX will appeal most to riders who already value the RS’s performance but want exclusivity and sharper ergonomics. For those seeking the same engine and core hardware without the premium, the RS will remain the practical choice.
