at the Sierra, multiple real-world visuals are circulating on social media. However, one viral video shows a Sierra SUV stranded on the side of a road after an alleged crash. Sierra Viral Crash Fact Check -
As we can see in the clip, a yellow Sierra SUV appears to be stranded on the side of the road after a major crash. The SUV's front end has been severely damaged with the front bumper, grille, bonnet and lamps destroyed. While the Sierra seems to have survived the alleged crash, the video that we just saw is completely fake and generated with artificial intelligence. What's more concerning is the level of detail that the video has to make you believe otherwise. The AI-generated Sierra has each small detail in order, from the alloy wheel design to the logo and even the minimalist Sierra badging on the front grille. Moreover, the first-person view and voiceover make the video even more believable. The only things that give away the video's artificial nature are minute details and the unnatural camera movements that can only be spotted by a trained eye. Hence, this video is not authentic and should not be taken as such.
Tata Sierra Safety Related Facts -
Keeping the AI-generated fake video aside, let's look at the facts. The Sierra SUV's official Bharat NCAP crash safety rating is yet to be announced. However, Tata Motors did conduct a car-to-car crash between two Sierra SUVs, which showcased the vehicles' impact absorption and resistance qualities. While the SUVs faced a head-on clash, the A-pillars stayed intact and the roof line was also uncompromised. Moreover, the Tata Sierra offers 22 standard safety features, such as 6 airbags and comes with Level 2 ADAS safety functions in the higher trims. Going by the safety ratings for the rest of their lineup, Tata Motors is expected to be aiming for a 5-star safety rating for the Sierra as well.
