Mahindra is planning a big upgrade in safety for its future cars and for this the company has partnered with Mobileye, which is a global technology company, to bring advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to at least six new Mahindra vehicles starting from 2027.
ADAS includes smart safety features that help the driver while driving. These systems can assist with steering, braking, lane-keeping, parking and even highway driving in certain situations, as the main aim is to reduce accidents and make driving safer and easier.Mahindra will use Mobileye’s latest EyeQ6 High platform, which will work as the “brain” of the safety system. Instead of using many separate electronic units for different safety features, this platform combines multiple functions into one system, which makes the vehicle more efficient and easier to manage from a technical point of view. There will be two types of systems offered, which are ‘SuperVision’ and ‘Surround ADAS’.
The SuperVision system is the more advanced one, as it uses
11 cameras and may also include radars. It runs on two powerful chips and can support features like highway assist between set destinations under certain conditions. It will also include automated parking and driver monitoring, which checks if the driver is paying attention.

The Surround ADAS system is slightly simpler but still very capable as it uses five cameras and multiple radars and runs on a single chip. It will allow hands-free but eyes-on highway driving in specific situations. It will also support parking assistance and driver monitoring features.
India is now one of the largest car markets in the world. Consumers are becoming more aware of safety features, especially after the introduction of Bharat NCAP crash safety ratings and due to this, demand for ADAS-equipped cars is increasing. Experts believe that by the end of this decade, many more cars in India will come with these advanced safety systems.
Mahindra and Mobileye have worked together before as well on earlier safety systems. Those vehicles received good safety ratings in India. This new partnership shows that Mahindra wants to focus more on advanced safety technology in its future models.
This development means that from 2027 onwards, several new Mahindra cars could offer smarter and more modern safety features. In simple words, Mahindra is gearing up for making its cars safer and more advanced for the future.
