MG India has once again officially teased the MG Majestor SUV ahead of its official India launch on February 12. It will be positioned above the Gloster, and will be the brand's new flagship SUV for the Indian market. Latest teaser video and photos have confirmed several design and feature highlights. These include 3 dedicated off-road drive modes along with large 19-inch alloy wheels. The SUV will enter the D+ segment, where it will take on the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, a popular body-on-frame SUV. What this new teaser makes clear is MG's focus on size, road presence as well as off-road capability instead of cosmetic updates alone.

MG Majestor: Three Off-Road Modes Confirmed
MG has confirmed
that the Majestor will offer three dedicated off-road drive modes: Snow, Mud and Sand. These modes are expected to adjust throttle response, traction control, and torque delivery to suit different terrain conditions. While MG has not detailed the drivetrain configuration yet, the presence of these modes strongly suggests a four-wheel-drive setup. The SUV is also expected to feature a body-on-frame chassis, which aligns with its positioning as a full-size, off-road-capable SUV rather than a monocoque crossover.
MG Majestor: 19-Inch Alloy Wheels And Exterior Highlights
The teaser confirms that the MG Majestor will ride on 19-inch alloy wheels, contributing to its large and upright stance. Design elements visible so far include a tall bonnet, squared-off wheel arches, and a wide grille. LED headlamps and a high shoulder line further reinforce its SUV proportions. Overall, the exterior styling appears functional and purpose-driven, focusing on scale and durability rather than aggressive detailing.
MG Majestor: Expected Powertrain And Mechanical Setup
Several reports indicate that the MG Majestor could be powered by a twin-turbo diesel engine, likely borrowed from MG’s global portfolio. This engine is expected to be paired with an automatic transmission. While official output figures are yet to be disclosed, the setup is expected to prioritise torque delivery, especially for off-road use and highway cruising. MG has not yet confirmed petrol engine options for the Indian market.
