Tata Motors is all set to bring back one of India’s most iconic SUV names, the ‘Tata Sierra’. After decades of nostalgia, the all-new Sierra will finally make its official debut tomorrow that is November 25, 2025. Unlike the original three-door SUV from the 1990s, the new Sierra has been completely reinvented for modern buyers. It now arrives as a stylish, feature-loaded, five-door family SUV designed to compete with popular models already present in the Indian market.
Look
The 2025 Sierra continues to carry its classic upright shape, but everything else has been updated to look future-ready. The front now features a full-width LED light bar, projector headlamps and sleek flush door handles similar to premium SUVs. A blacked-out roof section pays
tribute to the original Sierra’s famous curved rear glass, although Tata has replaced the old single-window look with a more practical modern design.
The side profile gets roof rails, thick black body cladding and stylish 19-inch alloy wheels, which gives the SUV a tough appearance. At the back, the connected LED tail-lamps and dual-tone bumper complete the look.
Tech and Interior
From the inside, Tata has equipped the Sierra with technology to match rival SUVs. The cabin uses a black-and-grey theme and comes with three large 12.3-inch screens, one for the driver, one for infotainment and another for the co-passenger. Some premium features include panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, rear sunshades, 360-degree camera and electronic parking brake.
The SUV is also expected to offer Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), which will include lane-departure warning and adaptive safety functions that help prevent accidents.
Engine Options
Tata Motors will offer the Sierra with three engine choices- 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5L turbo-petrol and 1.5L diesel. Both manual and automatic options are expected across variants.

Safety
The upcoming Sierra is expected to include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), parking sensors (front and rear) and 360-degree camera. Combined with ADAS features, the SUV aims to deliver a strong safety package for families.
Expected Price
The Tata Sierra is expected to start at around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom), which puts it in the centre of the compact SUV segment.
The Sierra’s comeback is one of the most anticipated car launches of the year. With modern design, strong features and multiple engine options, the 2025 Sierra could quickly become a favorite in its segment once again.
