What Changed Under GST 2.0?
The GST 2.0 reform by the government consolidated many slabs and reclassified cars into lower and higher categories, effective since September 22, 2025. The new tax regime has made Brezza, a sub-4m SUV running on a 1.5-litre engine, to bear lesser tax effectively as earlier it was coming at approximately 45% (28% GST + compensation cess) now it will fall under a 40% slab. This change has led Maruti to adjust prices, passing on the tax benefits to buyers.

What This Means For Buyers
The cuts make the Brezza more competitive in the sub-4m SUV segment and narrow the price gap with direct rivals. It’s very important to note that these figures are ex-showroom. On-road costs would vary across locations on account of factors like state, registration fees, insurance, and dealer incentives. Check the best on-road price quotation before buying the particular variant in your preferred fuel type. Plus, see if CNG is available where required along with your comparison due to the festive or dealer discounts over this.
