Lexus has taken another important step toward its electric plans for future by introducing a new model to its battery-electric lineup which is the Special Edition Lexus RZ 600e “F SPORT Performance.”
This
car is designed to excite driving enthusiasts while staying true to Lexus’ comfort-first DNA, this new electric SUV shows how performance, technology and sustainability can come together in one premium package. This new model will go on sale through Lexus dealerships from March 2, 2026, but its India debut is still a mystery.

The Lexus RZ is special because it is Lexus’ first model which is developed purely as an electric vehicle and not adapted from a petrol car. This makes it a key part of the brand’s long-term shift away from ICE. Since the RZ first arrived in 2023 with the RZ 450e, Lexus has slowly expanded the range for different buyers, including more efficient versions and sportier ones.
The RZ 600e “F SPORT Performance” builds on this journey as it is based on the RZ 550e F SPORT but takes things a step further by focusing on sharper handling, quicker acceleration and an extraordinary driving experience.
This electric SUV is equipped with a 76.96 kWh battery which powers two electric motors- one at the front and one at the rear. Together, they produce 313 kW which is around 425 hp, allowing the RZ 600e to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. Despite the super performance, Lexus claims a driving range of up to 525 km and fast charging, which makes it practical for daily use and long highway trips.
To improve stability and confidence, Lexus has lowered the car by 20 mm, which helps this SUV to reduce wind resistance and improve handling. The brand has also added larger 20-inch brakes, which offer stronger stopping power and better control during spirited driving.
Another standout feature of this is Lexus’ Steer-by-Wire system, which replaces the traditional steering connection with electronic signals. It is also paired with Interactive Manual Drive, which adds engagement for those who enjoy being more involved while driving.
Visually, the RZ 600e F SPORT Performance looks aggressive and premium. Special carbon-fibre parts, exclusive 21-inch alloy wheels, blue brake calipers and sporty colour options like Black with HAKUGIN II matte finish give it a strong road presence.
Inside, the cabin balances sportiness and luxury. Special Ultrasuede sport seats, blue accents and premium materials make it feel like a high-end performance lounge rather than just another electric SUV. Developed with input from air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya and racing driver Masahiro Sasaki, this special edition reflects Lexus’ “Always On” philosophy.
