Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), which is India’s one of the leading automobile manufacturers, has achieved a major milestone this festive season, as the company recorded its highest-ever SUV sales in a single
month, selling 71,624 units in October 2025, that marks a 31% growth compared to the same month last year. Overall, Mahindra sold 1,20,142 vehicles across all segments, including exports, which is a 26% increase year-on-year.
The company’s strong performance reflects the growing popularity of Mahindra’s SUV lineup, which includes popular models like the Scorpio-N, XUV700, Thar, Bolero and XUV300. These vehicles have become favorites among Indian buyers for their rugged design, advanced features and super performance, whose qualities resonate well with both city drivers and car enthusiasts.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra’s Automotive Division, said, “In October, we achieved SUV sales of 71,624 units, a growth of 31%, which is the highest SUV sales we have clocked ever in a month! The total vehicle sales stand at 120,142 units, a 26% growth compared to the same month last year. October also saw the launch of the new editions of Thar, Bolero & Bolero Neo.”
Mahindra’s Utility Vehicle (UV) sales recorded 71,624 units domestically and when combined with exports, the total reached 73,890 units. The Commercial Vehicle (CV) segment also contributed significantly to the growth, with 31,741 units sold, that represents a 14% growth.

In addition, Mahindra’s 3-wheeler business, including electric models, recorded a 30% rise with 12,762 units sold, while exports grew by 15% to reach 4,015 units in October. The surge in demand was largely fueled by the festive season, new product launches, and improved supply chain efficiency. With a total of 3,69,194 SUVs sold in the current fiscal year so far, Mahindra is not just breaking records, but also it is creating its position as India’s SUV leader.
