The Bajaj Pulsar 220F is one of India’s most recognisable motorcycles, especially among riders who grew up admiring sporty bikes in the early 2000s and even today, this bike has a loyal fan following because
of its strong performance, comfortable riding position and value-for-money pricing. Now, the iconic motorcycle is back in the spotlight, as the updated 2025 Bajaj Pulsar 220F has started arriving at dealerships across the country, ahead of its official launch.
The biggest and most important upgrade on the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar 220F is the addition of dual-channel ABS. Earlier versions were equipped with ABS only on the front wheel, but the new update adds ABS to the rear wheel as well. This improves braking safety by reducing the chances of wheel lock-up, especially during sudden braking or on slippery roads.

Alongside the safety update, Bajaj has also introduced new colour schemes and graphics. The 2025 Pulsar 220F is now available in two fresh colour options, both based on a black base paint. One version gets Red and Grey accents, while the other features Copper and Grey highlights. The graphics on the fuel tank are bolder and sharper, which gives the bike a more modern and aggressive look without changing its classic design.
Engine and Performance
Mechanically, the Pulsar 220F remains unchanged and the motorcycle continues to be powered by a 220cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 20.6 bhp of power and 18.55 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox and is known for delivering a strong mid-range. This balance of power, comfort and reliability has always been the Pulsar 220F’s biggest strength, and Bajaj has wisely chosen not to alter it.
Features
The Pulsar 220F continues to offer features that remain useful even today, as it comes with projector headlamps, split seats, illuminated switchgear and a fully digital LCD instrument cluster. The display supports Bluetooth connectivity and offers turn-by-turn navigation through smartphone app integration, keeping the bike practical for daily commuting.
Design-wise, the motorcycle retains its signature elements such as the muscular semi-fairing, clip-on handlebars, chunky exhaust and fairing-mounted mirrors.
Price and Launch Expectations
The updated 2025 Bajaj Pulsar 220F is expected to cost around Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 more than the outgoing model. Currently, the Pulsar 220F is priced from Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom). Bajaj may officially announce the updated version soon, possibly at India Bike Week 2025, adding excitement for motorcycle enthusiasts.
