Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift Spied Again Ahead of India Launch

Mahindra Scorpio N facelift has been spotted testing multiple times across India and the test mules now appear to be in near-production form — pointing to a launch in Q3–Q4 2026. A recent test mule was spotted in Jaisalmer covered in heavy camouflage and a close inspection of both the exterior and interior hints that it is already production-ready. For existing Scorpio N owners and buyers currently shortlisting in the Rs 13–24 lakh SUV space, here's a clear breakdown of what the facelift is expected to change and what stays the same.

Exterior — Minor Changes, Not a Full Redesign

The exterior is heavily camouflaged but looks largely similar to the current Mahindra Scorpio N. The dual-pod LED projector headlamps and LED fog lamps with C-shaped silver surrounds remain unchanged. The grille

appears to have been slightly redesigned and the overall front looks marginally cleaner and less sculpted around the edges. The upright, rugged stance is unchanged though the test vehicle was seen on newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels with beefier proportions. Minor revisions to the taillamps and rear bumper are expected. This is clearly a nip-and-tuck facelift on the outside, not a design overhaul.

Interior — Where Most Changes Are Expected

The biggest visible change will likely be a 12.3-inch floating touchscreen replacing the current 8-inch display. The dashboard design will also be new to accommodate the larger screen and redesigned air vents. The semi-analogue instrument cluster is expected to be replaced by a fully digital driver's display. A new-age steering wheel and a more powerful Harman Kardon audio system are also likely. The dual-tone brown-black interior theme from the current car appears to continue though new colour options may be introduced at launch.

Features — What's Being Added

Potential new additions include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a powered tailgate, a 360-degree camera as well as an electronic parking brake with auto-hold. These would join existing features such as dual-zone climate control, wireless charging and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support already present on the current model. Level 2 ADAS will probably be carried over from the current Z8 L variant and extended to more trims.

Engines and Mechanicals — No Changes Expected

The same 203hp 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 175hp 2.2-litre diesel engines are expected to continue unchanged, paired with 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. The 4WD option on diesel variants is also expected to carry over. No new powertrain additions or hybrid options have been indicated by testing or official communication at this point.

Launch Timeline and Pricing — What to Expect

The facelifted Scorpio N is expected to arrive between Q3 and Q4 2026 based on the current testing frequency and the near-production state of the test mules. A slight price increase over the current range of Rs 13.49 lakh to Rs 24.95 lakh (ex-showroom) is likely. For buyers shortlisting today, the practical question is whether the feature additions — particularly the larger screen, panoramic sunroof and 360-degree camera — are worth waiting a few months for or whether current stock pricing offers better value on the existing model.
