The Toyota Corolla is gearing up for a major transformation and this time, it might just go electric as the brand has officially confirmed that it will unveil a new Corolla-branded concept at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show on October 29 which will offer a sneak peek into what could be the next generation of this sedan.
The upcoming concept has already created a buzz after being teased in Toyota’s latest video campaign which was titled as “To You Toyota.” This new version looks futuristic, showing off sharp lines, full-width LED lights and proportions that strongly suggest it could be an electric sedan.
From the front, this concept features Toyota’s next-generation “hammerhead” face which depicts a sleek new design with horizontal and vertical LED
headlights connected by a light bar stretching across the car’s width. But, there is no traditional grille, which is common in EVs since they do not need the same air cooling as ICE engines.

From the side, the concept shows off a four-door sedan shape with sculpted doors, dropping window lines, and regular door handles which makes it feel realistic.
At the back, the design looks even more dynamic with a ducktail-style spoiler, bold shoulders and pixel-style LED taillights give this sedan a high-tech and premium appearance. The Corolla branding on the flat tailgate looks absolutely classy.
The brand’s leaders have often expressed doubt that EVs alone will dominate the future, meaning we will likely see both electric and petrol-powered versions sold side by side. It’s possible Toyota could take inspiration from the Lexus ES lineup, where hybrid and electric models look almost identical.
Toyota hasn’t shared any details about this powertrain or launch plans yet. It is unclear whether this concept previews the next-generation Corolla or is simply a design experiment. Either way, it is absolutely clear that Toyota is preparing to take the Corolla name into a bold new era. One where style, technology and possibly electric power come together to redefine the world’s most popular car.
