For superbike lovers who enjoy powerful machines, KTM is preparing something very special which is the ‘KTM 1390 Super Duke RR’, an even more aggressive and exclusive version of its famous Super Duke series.
This motorbike is not meant for everyday riders. It is a limited-run, high-performance “Track Monster”, built mainly for enthusiasts who want the rawest level of power, speed and technology.
According to European type-approval documents, KTM is following the same strategy it used earlier for the 1290 Super Duke RR, which came in just 500 units, and now the upcoming 1390 Super Duke RR will also be made in small numbers and will focus on reducing weight and improving handling, instead of increasing power.
The new bike continues to use the 1,350cc V-twin engine, producing 190hp and 145Nm, the same power as the current Super Duke R. This means KTM believes the Super Duke already has enough power, and now the brand wants to make it lighter and sharper.

The standard 1390 Super Duke R weighs 212.5kg. But the RR version will reportedly weigh around 204kg, almost 8.5kg lighter. KTM saves this weight through akrapovič titanium exhaust, carbon-fibre body panels, lightweight lithium-ion battery and possible titanium twin-outlet muffler.
While not officially confirmed, reports suggest the bike will get premium WP Apex Pro suspension (front and rear), brembo brakes carried over from the R model, 17mm wider handlebar, likely for lever guards and standard LED lighting and adjustable controls. These components will make the RR more stable and responsive, especially during aggressive riding.
KTM is expected to include the complete electronic suite from the standard Super Duke R, such as Five riding modeswhich are Street, Sport, Rain, Performance and Track, traction control & anti-wheelie, 5-inch TFT with lap timer, cruise control, telemetry, smartphone connectivity and USB charging. This means the RR will offer both convenience and cutting-edge rider assistance.
KTM had originally planned to reveal the bike at EICMA 2025, but delays pushed it further. Now, with Bajaj Auto acquiring KTM, the development roadmap is expected to stabilise, making a 2026 global launch likely. In India, the 1390 Super Duke RR is expected to be priced between Rs 25 lakh to Rs 27 lakh (ex-showroom).
