Tata Motors has launched the all-new Sierra, which is available at an introductory price of Rs 11.49 lakh, making it one of the most attractive mid-size SUVs in India.
The design instantly reminds people of the classic Sierra from the 90s, but with the modern development. It has a clean and muscular look, a practical cabin and lots of tech features that even first-time car buyers will appreciate. Bookings of this newly launched SUV will begin on December 16 and deliveries will start from January 15, 2026.
Engine Options
The Sierra comes with three engine choices and all versions are front-wheel drive for now.
- 1.5L Normal Petrol (NA Petrol): This option is good for daily driving and is available with 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT automatic.
- 1.5L Turbo-Petrol: This one is more powerful and fun to drive and it comes with a 6-speed automatic.
- 1.5L Turbo-Diesel: This is ideal for long-distance travellers and is available with manual and automatic.
Colour Options
Tata offers the Sierra in six colours, each paired with a stylish black roof. Four special shades which are Andaman Adventure,
Bengal Rouge, Coorg Clouds and Munnar Mist are exclusive to the New Sierra. The cabin feels premium with its beige-black theme and metallic touches.
Variants
The Sierra comes in seven variants.
1. Smart+
This is the base variant and includes LED lights, keyless entry, a part-digital instrument cluster, 6 airbags, rear AC vents, all-wheel disc brakes and essential safety tech like ESP and hill-hold assist.
2. Pure
In this variant you get wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, 10.25-inch touchscreen, cruise control, TPMS, rear camera, automatic foldable mirrors and steering-mounted controls, extra.
3. Pure+
It brings luxury touches like panoramic sunroof, dual-zone AC, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, alloy wheels and more USB ports along with all base variant features.
4. Adventure
It adds front fog lamps, roof rails, leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, a 7-inch digital driver display and surround-view cameras.
5. Adventure+
This one introduces Superglide suspension, terrain modes (Wet, Rough), a bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen, dual digital displays, mood lighting and more comfort features.
6. Accomplished
This gives a premium experience with ventilated seats, JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos, wireless charger, AR head-up display and Level 2 ADAS safety tech.
7. Accomplished+
This is the top variant and adds powered tailgate with gesture control, welcome light animations, Amazon Alexa, built-in navigation, air purifier, memory seats, rear USB Type-C ports and enhanced ADAS features like blind-spot detection, along with all the features available in lower trims.
The Sierra’s comeback not only brings nostalgia but also shows how far Indian SUVs have evolved with global-level tech, premium comfort and safety that appeals to buyers.
