Nissan India has been gearing up for a strategic comeback into the mainstream SUV segment of the Indian auto sector for a while. As part of its latest strategy, the carmaker had earlier announced plans to introduce three new SUVs in India by 2027. In October 2025, Nissan unveiled the first model, called the Tekton C-SUV, which is due to be launched in February 2026. However, Nissan India has now officially unveiled the second model from its three SUV lineup, calling it the Gravite. Here's everything we know, along with the launch and delivery timelines of the new Nissan SUV.

Firstly, the Nissan Gravite will be the first SUV to be launched in India out
of the three launches planned until 2027. The Gravite is a 7-seater MPV that will compete in the price-sensitive B-segment. While no technical details have been shared about the Gravite, the teaser images suggest compact dimensions paired with upmarket styling to give the MPV a distinct design. The Gravite gets a sculpted bonnet on the front, along with the signature Nissan grille and logo. It also gets chrome elements and a sculpted shoulder design at the rear C-pillar. At the back, it also offers LED taillamps, C-shaped bumper accents and Gravite lettering on the front and back.
In terms of the Gravite's launch and delivery timeline, Nissan has confirmed that the Gravite will be officially launched in early January 2026, followed by deliveries in March 2026. Apart from this, the brand did not confirm any technical details about the 7-seater on December 18. However, the MPV can be expected to get a removable third-row along with multiple engine and transmission options, considering that the brand has 5 powertrains and 5 transmissions available across the AMIEO markets.
Coming to the other two SUVs out of the three promised for India, the Tekton C-SUV is due to launch in the country in February 2026 and the 7-seater C-SUV will be launched in 2027. Nissan India has confirmed that the new 7-seater C-SUV will not be an extension of the Tekton but a considerably different product.
