JSW MG Motor India has rolled out a thoughtful update for its entire lineup. All MG cars will now come with PM 2.5 air filters as standard, whether you’re driving the tiny Comet EV or the Gloster SUV.
This update couldn’t have come at a better time, with air pollution levels shooting up during the festive season.
Every model in MG’s range, including the Astor, Hector, Gloster, Comet EV, Windsor, and ZS EV, will now feature a PM 2.5 air filter. The Hector already has an upgraded system that includes a PM 2.5 air purifier with an integrated Air Quality Index (AQI) display. That means you can actually see how clean your cabin air is in real-time.

PM 2.5 refers to microscopic particles smaller than 2.5 microns, so tiny that they can get deep into your lungs when you breathe them in. The filters MG is offering can trap up to 99% of these harmful pollutants, including dust, smoke, soot, and even bacteria. The Hector’s system even includes an activated carbon filter, which not only removes pollutants but also helps get rid of bad odours and allergens, making the cabin a more pleasant space for everyone.

MG’s move follows similar efforts by other carmakers like Hyundai, Kia, Tata, and Mahindra, who have introduced their own air purification systems. But MG has taken things a step further by making it a standard feature across its entire lineup; not something you have to pay extra for in top-end variants.
