Aprilia has taken the wraps off its newest small-capacity sportbike, the RS 457 GP Replica, at the EICMA 2025 motorcycle show in Milan. This special edition brings a big slice of MotoGP excitement to the streets and it might soon arrive in India.
The RS 457 GP Replica is based on the already-popular Aprilia RS 457, but with a visual twist inspired by the brand’s MotoGP race bike. It sports a striking new racing livery that mirrors the Aprilia Racing team’s machines, complete with sponsor logos, bold red-and-black graphics and an authentic racing aura. The model also features an aluminum frame and swingarm with a new black finish, enhancing its premium, track-focused appeal.

One of the biggest highlights of this edition is the addition of a quickshifter as standard equipment. This allows riders to change gears without using the clutch, a feature loved by performance enthusiasts for faster, smoother shifts especially on the track. Aprilia has also upgraded the braking system with high-performance front brake pads for sharper stopping power.
Under the fairing, the RS 457 GP Replica retains its 457cc twin-cylinder engine, producing 47.6 hp at 9,400 rpm and 65 Nm of torque at 6,400 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and comes equipped with ride-by-wire throttle, which offers precise power delivery and smoother control.
Riders also get three riding modes - Sport, Eco and Rain along with adjustable traction control that can even be switched off for track use. For those who love pushing limits on closed circuits, the rear-wheel ABS can also be disabled.
Aprilia has designed the RS 457 series to be light, powerful, and easy to handle, making it ideal for both new riders stepping into performance motorcycling and experienced enthusiasts looking for a nimble, track-ready machine.
If launched in India, the RS 457 GP Replica could pose serious competition to KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 400, and Yamaha R3, but with a distinct European flair and MotoGP DNA.
With Aprilia already manufacturing the RS 457 in India, the GP Replica version could reach Indian showrooms soon, giving young riders a chance to own a slice of racing heritage without breaking the bank.
