BMW Cars To Get Costlier In India From July 2026 - Which Models Will Cost More?

BMW has announced a price increase of up to 2% across its entire BMW and Mini model range in India, effective July 1, 2026. The price hike covers nearly everything in the German marque's range, from entry-level models to high-performance M cars. So, if you have been eyeing one, the window to buy at current prices is closing fast.

BMW Price Hike July 2026: What's The Reason

The familiar macroeconomic issues, particularly a depreciating rupee and steadily climbing logistics costs, are two main reasons for the second price increase by BMW this year. Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India, explained that the adjustment is necessary to safeguard the brand's

premium engineering standards against these financial headwinds. Moreover, it is to ensure that buyers continue to receive the world-class ownership experience for which the brand stands out.

The pressure on luxury automakers from a weakening rupee seems to be far from over. This is because it is the second price hike after April 2026, when the carmaker increased prices by up to 2%.

Which Models Will Cost More?

The upcoming price hike will impact the complete range available in India, both locally produced and imported models. The vehicles assembled in the country are the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, 3 Series Long Wheelbase, 5 Series Long Wheelbase, 7 Series, X1, X3, X5, X7, M340i, and iX1 Long Wheelbase. The list of imported models, include the i5 M60, i7, i7 M70, iX, M440i Convertible, M2 Coupe, M4 Competition, M5, and XM. The Mini Cooper and Countryman range will also become more expensive.

Currently, BMW has not announced the exact model-wise price revisions. The upcoming hike of up to 2% could range from somewhere around Rs 88,000 for the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe to more than Rs 5 lakh for flagship models such as the XM and i7 M70.
