TVS has refreshed its legendary XL100 moped, which is a name that has been trusted by Indians for decades, and now ready to take over the market with a brand-new top-spec variant- the XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy, priced at Rs 59,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This latest version comes with modern touches while keeping the simple charm of this moped that makes the XL100 so popular.
For the first time, the XL100 gets alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, which is a big upgrade from the traditional spoke wheels. Tubeless tyres make puncture repairs much easier, which means less hassle on daily commutes. The new variant also gets an LED headlight, which adds a pinch of modern style and better night visibility.
Under the skin this moped remains the same trusted
workhorse, as it is equipped with a 99.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which produces 4.3 hp and 6.5 Nm of torque. Though it is not that powerful, this lightweight two-wheeler, which is just 89 kg, has always been about reliability, mileage, and ease of use. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks in the front and dual shock absorbers at the back, while drum brakes provide great stopping power.

The XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy comes in three colors, which are red, blue and grey, which adds some fresh choices for buyers. TVS has also retained the useful touches the XL100 is loved for, which is a detachable rear seat, mobile charging facility, easy on-off switch and a black muffler for a tough look.
With this launch, the XL100 lineup now has five variants and the Heavy Duty Alloy is the top variant.
While its features may sound simple compared to flashy modern scooters, the XL100 has always stood for practicality, ruggedness and affordability, the things that matter most in the real world. The TVS XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy is the same dependable moped that many Indians have relied on, but now with smarter upgrades to make daily life just a little easier and efficient.
