Kia India has expanded its Carens Clavis EV lineup with two new variants, HTX E and HTX E [ER], priced at Rs 19.99 lakh and Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. These will be positioned between the
HTK+ and HTX trims. The HTX E comes with a 42 kWh battery pack, while the HTX E [ER] is equipped with a larger 51.4 kWh battery. Both trims carry forward all features from the HTK+ variant and add more premium touches.
Highlights include a panoramic sunroof, LED lamps for all three rows, auto up/down functionality on all windows, an ECM rearview mirror, wireless charger, and a two-tone steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustment. Inside, the cabin is upgraded with leatherette seats, a foldable seat-back table, a multi-colour mood lamp with footwell illumination, an air purifier with virus protection, and solar glass for better heat insulation.

Performance-wise, the Carens Clavis EV offers two motor options: 99 kW and 126 kW, delivering 255 Nm of torque. Range stands at 404 km for the 42 kWh battery and 490 km for the 51.4 kWh pack. Fast charging is supported, taking the battery from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes. Safety features include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill Start Assist Control (HAC).

Technology and connectivity are also well-covered. Both variants come with a 26.62-inch dual panoramic display, 90 connected car features, and intuitive controls for a seamless experience. Kia has over 11,000 charging points via the K-Charge platform, live charger availability, route planning, and integrated payments. There are over 250 EV-ready workshops and more than 100 dealerships with DC fast chargers nationwide.
