Maserati has officially introduced the McPura in India at Rs 4.12 crore (ex-showroom), marking the Italian carmaker’s return to the high-performance luxury space. The new model, based on the MC20 platform, is offered here in both Coupe and Cielo convertible forms. While the design remains unmistakably Maserati, the McPura blends Italian styling with serious engineering — from its carbon-fibre monocoque body to the 621 hp twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine. Here’s a closer look at five defining aspects of the McPura through these detailed images.

Sleek Butterfly Doors
The butterfly doors do not represent a mere stylistic statement, but rather embody a quintessential attribute of
the McPura. The upward-swinging doors facilitate entry into the cabin despite the vehicle’s low profile and underscore its supercar aesthetics. Wide openings further enhance aerodynamics by channelling flow around the A-pillar and upper side panels. Moreover, a contemporary Maserati logo traces back to racing-inspired heritage.
Lightweight Carbon-Fibre Construction
The McPura sits on a new carbon-fibre monocoque chassis co-designed with Dallara, which ensures very high rigidity and significant weight reduction at the same time. This advanced carbon tub makes it possible for the car to have a kerb weight of about 1,500 kg; therefore, sharp handling is retained and performance is acceleration-driven. The structure is shared between the Coupe and Cielo, giving both variants impressive torsional stiffness for track-level performance with GT usability.
Cabin Crafted For Performance
The McPura carries a simple, clean cabin that is very much driver-focused with two digital displays and minimal clutter. The Alcantara-lined cabin, contrast stitching, and optional carbon-fibre trim give it a purposeful yet luxurious feel. The steering wheel contains drive mode selector, while the central tunnel has been cleaned up to contain only essential controls for connected technology, climate control, and comfort enhancements standard in both Coupe and Cielo variants-with no added weight.
Powertrain: The Nettuno V6
The McPura draws its power from Maserati's 3.0-litre, twin-turbo Nettuno V6, offering 621 hp and 720 Nm of torque. It is mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, rocketing the McPura from 0-100 km/h in about 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of over 325 km/h. The mid-mounted layout ensures optimal weight distribution, giving the McPura the sharp handling expected of a true Italian supercar.

Price And Market Positioning
Priced from Rs 4.12 crore (ex-showroom) for the Coupe and roughly Rs 5.12 crore (ex-showroom) for the Cielo convertible, the McPura slots against rivals like the Ferrari 296 GTB and McLaren Artura. Maserati’s focus is on exclusivity — each car can be highly customised through the Fuoriserie program. Deliveries in India are expected to begin later this year through Maserati’s select retail network.
