Just as Mahindra builds momentum for the XEV 9S launch on November 27, the company has quietly dropped a new teaser that has caught us off guard. This time, it isn’t about the XEV 9S, but what looks unmistakably
like a sportier, race-inspired version of the BE 6.
The short teaser, shared on Mahindra’s social media, doesn’t reveal much but leaves a lot to speculate. The BE 6 appears in a striking red shade, accompanied by the unmistakable soundtrack of a Formula E racer, a clear hint that this edition draws inspiration from Mahindra’s motorsport DNA. The car is shown only from above the window line, but even that brief glimpse suggests something different is brewing.

There’s a large roof-mounted spoiler and another one seemingly attached to the boot lid. The front end is expected to feature a redesigned bumper, possibly with sharper aero elements, and the rear is likely to get similar treatment. These visual changes point towards a more performance-oriented look, even if the mechanics stay the same.
This will be the second special edition of the BE 6, following the limited-run Batman Edition that made its debut earlier. While the Batman Edition leaned on comic-book-inspired aesthetics, this new version appears to celebrate Mahindra’s racing efforts, particularly its participation in Formula E.
Under the skin, the BE 6 is available with two battery pack options: 58 kWh and 79 kWh. The smaller pack delivers 228 hp, while the larger one produces 281 hp, both sending 380 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. The top-spec version sprints from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and offers three drive modes: Range, Everyday, and Race. There’s also a temporary Boost mode that unleashes maximum torque for 10 seconds.

Range figures are equally impressive, with the 79 kWh version offering up to 682 km (ARAI) on a full charge. Fast charging from 20 to 80 percent takes just 20 minutes via a 175 kW DC charger, and Mahindra even backs the battery with a lifetime warranty.
