Toyota Motor Corporation has confirmed that its upcoming reveal on February 10 is not a pickup truck, as many first thought, but a large three-row SUV. The official teaser shows a boxy family vehicle with
a massive glass roof, captain’s chairs in the second row, and dedicated climate controls for rear passengers.
By brightening the teaser image, more details become visible. A third row can be spotted, suggesting a six-seat layout with decent legroom even for the last row. USB charging ports appear to be mounted near the C-pillars so rear passengers can keep devices powered on long trips. For families, this is the kind of thoughtful detail that makes daily use easier.Toyota has not revealed the name yet, but many clues point toward this being the production version of the Toyota bZ Large Concept shown in 2021. Patent images that surfaced later, along with a recently teased rear light bar, closely match the concept’s design. Expect the final model to add practical touches like traditional mirrors and larger door handles for everyday usability.
Size-wise, this SUV is expected to be similar to the Toyota Highlander, but with a more modern, possibly electric platform. In fact, back in 2024, Toyota announced a $1.3 billion investment in its Georgetown, Kentucky plant to build a three-row electric SUV. Two years later, this teaser is likely our first real look at that vehicle taking shape.
It’s still unclear whether this SUV will be fully electric or offered alongside a new-generation petrol-powered Highlander. The Toyota Grand Highlander is expected to continue on sale, so this new model may sit above or alongside it. According to Motor1, there is also talk of a Subaru sibling, continuing Toyota and Subaru’s EV partnership seen earlier with twin models like the bZ/Solterra.

As for the name, it could be called something like “bZ Highlander”, or Toyota may choose an entirely new badge. Either way, the focus seems clear: a spacious, tech-friendly, three-row SUV designed for families moving toward electrified mobility.
All questions will be answered on February 10, when Toyota pulls the covers off what could be one of its most important family SUVs of the decade.
