Hyundai has adjusted the prices of the Aura sedan in India. As a result of this, the select variants of the car are now dearer by up to Rs 5,700. The most recent price hike affects both petrol and CNG trims. However, a few entry-level variants continue to retain their existing prices. The price hike worth Rs 5,700 applies to the S petrol MT, SX petrol MT, SX (O) petrol MT, SX+ petrol AMT, S CNG MT, Corporate CNG MT, and SX CNG MT models. The petrol MT, Corporate petrol MT, E CNG MT, and S petrol AMT variants continue to be priced the same. The sedan is now priced between Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 8.60 lakh (ex-showroom). In the market, it locks horns with the Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor.

Hyundai Aura Engine And Mileage
The Hyundai Aura comes equipped with a 1.2-litre,
four-cylinder Kappa petrol engine that produces 81.8hp and 113.8Nm. It can be had with either a five-speed manual gearbox or an AMT automatic. The sedan is also available with a factory-fitted CNG option, where the same engine develops 68hp and 95.2Nm, and comes exclusively with a five-speed manual gearbox.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the petrol-manual version delivers a claimed mileage of 17.0km/, while the AMT variant offers up to 21km/l. The CNG version is the most fuel-efficient in the range, and has a claimed mileage of 28.4 km/kg.

Rivals And Starting Prices
The Hyundai Aura goes head-to-head in the compact sedan segment against the Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor. The Maruti Dzire remains the segment leader with a starting price of Rs 6.26 lakh, followed by the Tata Tigor at Rs 5.54 lakh. The recently launched Honda Amaze starts at Rs 7.51 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
